Sequim & Discovery Bay Marine Debris Removal Project
Coastal Sensing & Survey is a member of the Innerspace Exploration Team, a non-profit supporting multiple projects in the Pacific Northwest. This specific project required the identification of derelict crab and shrimp pots using high resolution sidescan sonar. Funding to remove approximately half of the identified pots is available and divers are steadily conducting recovery and recycling efforts. Green marks are those pots that have been removed. Yellow pots still need removed. Selecting individual pins will show you what information is currently available (green will have the most) regarding that pot or debris item.
