The Lake Union Mapping Project was a multi-year effort to locate and explore Seattle’s rich maritime history. Lake Union and its fishing, industry, and shipbuilding history is located in the heart of the city. The Lake Washington Mapping Project is an ongoing multi-year effort to locate and explore the rich maritime history of the body of water establishing the eastern boundary of Seattle.

A Collaborative Effort for the Community

Since 2006 Coastal Sensing & Survey has been exploring and mapping within Lake Washington. As technology access has advanced the imaging work and been consistently updated. This project has been supported by GUE Seattle, DCS Films and many community organizations.
